Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-26
Sanhita uses a small number of cookies and one piece of local storage to keep you signed in, remember the workspace state you last left, and to keep the platform secure. We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or third-party analytics profiles.
1. What we set
Session cookie (sanhita_session): an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie that authenticates you across page loads. Expires when you sign out or after fourteen days of inactivity, whichever is sooner. Required — the platform will not function without it.
CSRF token (sanhita_csrf): paired with the session cookie to defend against cross-site request forgery. Same lifetime as the session.
UI preferences (localStorage keys prefixed with snhta_pref_): your sidebar collapsed-state, last-opened matter, draft autosave snapshots. Stays on your device until you clear it.
2. What we don't set
No advertising cookies. No third-party analytics cookies. No cross-site tracking pixels. No Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics, no Segment, no Hotjar. If you see a network request leaving the platform to any of those services it's a bug — please report it to security@sanhita.co.
3. Third-party calls
When you invoke the AI assistant we call inference providers (Anthropic, Google, Groq, Cloudflare) on your behalf. Those calls are server-to-server from our backend — your browser does not talk to them directly, and no third-party cookies are set during the round-trip.
4. Controlling cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's settings (Chrome → Settings → Privacy & security → Site Data; Safari → Preferences → Privacy). Clearing the session cookie will sign you out. Clearing the preferences keys will reset your sidebar and draft autosave state but will not delete the underlying matter data, which lives on our servers.
5. Changes
If we add a new cookie or storage key, we will update this page before the change ships to production. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
